22-year-old Yasin Abdirahman killed in Southall

Yasin Abdirahman was fatally stabbed in the head in Navigator Drive, Southall on Monday 3 September 2007. The Somalian pharmacy student, who was studying at London Metropolitan University was taken to hospital but died on Tuesday 11 September from his injuries.
Nine teenagers have been charged with a number of offences in connection with Yasin’s murder. The accused included 18-year-old Ashley Quashie-Pawnall of Keith Drive, Shepherds Bush, Hassan Kamara, 18, of Wulfstan Street, Shepherds Bush, a 14-year-old and a 17-year-old boy who were charged with murder, violent disorder and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH). Richard Alexander Mark, 19, from Hammersmith, a 17-year-old from Uxbridge and a 16-year-old from Acton were charged with conspiracy to commit GBH and two 15-year-olds were charged with murder.
