37-year-old Kelvin Onubogu found dead in Tottenham flat

Kelvin Onubogu

At approximately 11pm on Thursday 8 November, police officers discovered the body of Kelvin Onubogu in a bedsit in Higham Road, Tottenham. A post mortem examination three days later proved to be inconclusive and further toxicology tests were ordered. He had been beaten but not stabbed or shot. Kelvin, who was divorced and from Nigeria, was well known in the Tottenham area.

It is believed that four men of African appearance aged between 20 and 30 visited the house earlier that evening around 9pm and left at 10.20pm. 29-year-old Martin Kujo of Westmeade Road, Tottenham appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates court on Saturday 8 December charged with his murder. A 21-year-old man who was arrested in November in connection with Kelvin’s death was bailed until December 18.
