18-year-old Dwaine Douglas stabbed in Thornton Heath

Dwaine Douglas

Dwaine Douglas was stabbed through the heart following an altercation involving a group of teenagers at around 10pm on Friday 18 May 2007. The attack took place near a Tesco car park on Parchmore Road in Thornton Heath. Dwaine, from Tulse Hill, managed to admit himself into the nearby Mayday Hospital but died an hour later. A friend who arrived with him was also treated for a slash wound to his arm.

23-year-old Otis Brown from Frant Road, Thornton Heath appeared at the Old Bailey in October charged with murdering Dwaine. He is due to stand trial on 18 February 2008.
