Angola: Joins OPEC and is China leading oil supplier

 

On Monday 1st January, Angola joined the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), to become the twelfth full member of this elite oil cartel and the third African nation to join, the others being Libya and Nigeria. Angola is now China's largest source of oil imports surpassing Saudi Arabia and Iran.
