Paul Erhahon, 14, stabbed in the heart in east London

Paul Erhahon was stabbed in the heart following a fight between a group of boys on 6 April 2007 in Leytonstone, east London. 15-year-old Steven Mafolabomi was also stabbed five times in the attack and was left fighting for his life. Both boys had attempted to head towards Paul’s home which was less than 100 yards away but collapsed. Barry Blount, a local resident described the moment Paul’s mother discovered her son. He said: "She was shouting, 'Oh my God, Oh my God, what happened?' She was absolutely distraught and inconsolable. But there was nothing we could do to save the boy." Paul had previously been stabbed in the leg by bullies at a previous school and had subsequently moved to Kingsford Community School in Beckton, east London.
Seven teenagers have been charged with his murder including 18-year-old Theo Diah of Anglian Road, Leytonstone, a boy aged 13, two boys aged 14, two aged 15 and one aged 17. The trial is due to take place on Monday 14 January 2008. They are also charged with the attempted murder and grievous bodily harm of Steven Mafolabomi.
